Abstract:

Evidence is put forward suggesting that at least some species of moa (Aves: Dinornithidae) used regular tracks, and that these tracks are still visible in various parts of New Zealand. Tracks at Poukawa, Hawke's Bay, are illustrated. Studies of the tracks may provide further information on the distribution and habitat preference of moas.
