We are seeking a new Sustainability Officer for the NZ Ecological Society Council. The role of the Sustainability Officer is to lead the implementation of the NZES Sustainability Plan. Specific duties include liaising with the Council and the annual NZES conference organisers to reduce the conference carbon footprint. The Sustainability Officer will also review the Sustainability Plan every five years (the next review will be in 2025) in consultation with the Council, and report on annual progress towards the NZES Strategy goals. This is an ex officio role on the NZES Council.
