2025 NZES event
To reduce our carbon footprint and ensure an accessible event option for all NZES members, NZES now runs an annual in-person conference every two years, with an online and local 'hub' option delivered in the alternate years. The 2025 NZES event will therefore be a day of local hub events at a number of locations across the country, with national online plenary talks and the AGM. This event will take place on 20 November 2025, with shared online awards and plenary talks from 1pm. Please keep an eye on this page for updates - agendas and speakers still to be confirmed.
2026 NZES-SCBO joint conference
Mark your diaries now! The 2026 NZES conference will be a joint conference with the Society for Conservation Biology Oceania (SCBO). This conference will be held in Auckland at AUT, from 30 November to 4 December 2026.
